If there's room in your home they'll find room in your heart

First Sunday walk and explore!

So first night couldn’t have gone better Poppy seemed very happy with her new surroundings and not nervous at all which was of course my biggest concern. So we woke up Sunday morning and were off out with her new friends to explore her new home.

Poppy arrived on a Saturday night so it was perfect the next morning we were able to get up at a leisurely hour and just hang out.
We were off out later with her new friends to explore Cuerden a lovely woods and park area just a short drive from where I lived.
Jack came down and drove with us because Poppy was a little anxious in the car.
Anxiety was a real concern so we needed to be mindful of that in the beginning.
It was a cold and wet November day but it wasn’t raining so that’s a bonus.
As Poppy’s family mentioned she was going to have to stay on Leash so I had a long extendable to she could roam a bit.

We had a lovely time and Poppy seemed to really love exploring. There’s a small river that goes through the park that has spots safe for dogs to swim and Poppy loved that.
She’s obviously a fan of the water.

The she rounded off the day with a Roast Chicken dinner which went down a treat, and then it was time to rest on the couch with new Human. I think it was a lovely day for all involved.
