So Poppy was with me now and the adventure begins.
She arrived about 4 in the afternoon. They dropped her off, gave me a rundown and quite a few supplies like food and leashes and then it was just Poppy and me.
Fortunately my friend Amy who organised the meeting in the first place, lives just 3 doors down with her husband and two children. Her Aunty, Uncle and Grandma are just around the corner and visiting that night, with their dogs.
That might sound overwhelming but honestly if you knew these people like I do you’d know it’s the perfect introduction for Poppy.
We headed down around 6pm.
It was a lovely night and Poppy fit in instantly. Upon reflection I think it was the best way to ease her in because she’s such a social dog I don’t think she had time to feel anxious.

She settled in so quickly she’d known Faith for barely any time before I snapped the photo on the left.

Getting treats from Aunty Anne-Louise and then it’s time for bed.
All in all was a great night, I made new friends, I got some presents, and I got a new Human.
Now it’s time for some sleep…
